Title: Financial Controller

KeyResponsibilities/Challenges:
Reporting to theGroup Finance Director, you will be an integral part of Beijing Finance withkey responsibilities for the integrity of and reporting of financial datapertaining to the Beijing Group.  Therole covers all reporting aspects of actuals, budgeting and forecasting andensuring all financial reporting deliverables are met on an accurate and timelybasis. In particular the role will focus on assessing the financial health ofthe organisation by monitoring performance against budgets, forecasts, andprevious years and against other similar businesses.  The role would also acting as a businesspartner assisting the business head within a unit. Solving complex business andfinancial issues would be one of the key area of responsibilities.
Critical PerformanceAreas:
-      Heads up the preparation of quarterlyforecast and annual budget on centralized costs allocation.
-      Ensure accurate monthly ManagementAccounts are produced for all areas of the business to strict deadlines.
-      Ensure sound judgment with solid groundswhen estimating month end accruals/prepayments and provisions.
-      Analyze month end results, includingdrafting reports for senior management as requested.  Where appropriate to give results somecontext, source external data for comparisons.
-      Financial performance is discussed with,the appropriate business head in the unit.
-      Make business head aware of the financialimplications of their decisions, and pro-actively support the achievement oftheir commercial objectives.
-      Communicate with corresponding leads ofany area for concern.  Act as an advancewarning where trends can be identified.
-      Ensure resources are directed towardsareas with the greatest potential benefit to the business.
-      Ad hoc projects and investigations asrequested.
Qualifications& Skills
-      Degree holder or equivalent, with major inaccountancy, and with a recognized professional accounting qualification
-      A minimum of 12 years of relevant workexperience with hands-on experience in handling daily operations of accountingmatters, experience gained from sizeable MNCs is preferable
-      Experience within a professional firm andgood knowledge on internal control is required, in–depth SOX knowledge isdefinitely an advantage
-      Demonstrated ability to lead a team anddeliver significant improvements or projects successfully
-      Demonstrated strong analytical andplanning skills
-      Strong communication and interpersonalskills, good team player capable to interact with all levels
-      Independent, mature and capable to lead ateam in handling a full set of books
-      Detail oriented with excellent analyticaland time management skills
-      Organized, able to multi-task and workunder pressure to meet tight deadlines
-      Proactive and energetic in looking forimprovements to meet business needs
-      Fluency in English and Mandarin
-      ACCA preferred
